The aim of the master’s program is to impart knowledge in the fields of mechanical engineering and sales, product and service management, enabling complex sales engineering activities to be performed independently and responsibly. The master’s program thus leads to a professional qualification that is necessary for a position with management responsibility. It also provides the necessary knowledge for scientific work at doctoral level.
In addition to the STEM elective (10 LP) and non-STEM modules (10 LP), a large amount of credit (15 LP) is earned in the area of individual specialization:
- Machine and Automation Systems (MAS)
- Energy and Process Engineering (EVT)
- Materials and Microengineering (WME)
You can read more about the individual focal points under „specializations“.
Another, large part of 25 LP is collected within the module area “International Sales, Product and Service Management”.
The Master’s examination (30 LP) is intended to determine whether the candidate has acquired sound knowledge and the ability to independently apply sophisticated scientific methods. The students should be enabled to critically classify scientific findings as well as to think and act in a responsible, interdisciplinary manner and should be able to analyze complex problems and develop solutions independently.
