After you have decided on the topic area for your thesis, the following options are available:

1. Cooperations of the Faculty*
   You inform yourself at the partner universities with a cooperation with our faculty to what extent your subject area is covered by corresponding research groups. You can also contact the corresponding program officer if you want to write a thesis at one of our partner universities. Here you can find the cooperations of our faculty.

2. Chairs
   Many chairs have existing cooperations with universities abroad. Just ask the chair you are interested in if such cooperations exist. This way you also have the possibility to write a thesis abroad.


3. Freemover
   If you find an interesting topic at a foreign university, there is the possibility to write a thesis abroad as a freemover. However, since the topic must be formally supervised at RUB, you should contact Dr. Julia Riese early in the planning process. We will be happy to support you in your project.
