The typewriter

The Typewriter is a branch of the Schreibzentrum and is an offer, that specifically addresses students in the engineering sciences. With consultations and workshops, you will be supported in writing your project and final theses as well as reports and protocols.

Writing consultation

The writing consultation deals with your individual concerns or questions about academic writing: e.g. reading specialist literature, creating a structure, appropriate phrasing, difficulties getting into writing, correct citation, etc. A counselling appointment lasts up to 45 minutes. You can make an appointment from Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. by email (schreibmaschine[at]rub.de).

Workshops

In the workshops, various aspects of academic writing are covered in a small group, for example writing the introduction or academic phrasing. As the name suggests, the workshops are not information events, but practice-oriented. In the workshops there is practice material with which, for example, an aspect is worked on, or individual work phases in which you work on your text.
